Het controleren van chips op verborgen kwaadaardige schakelingen gebeurt nu grotendeels met de hand, waardoor er maar een fractie wordt nagekeken. Wie hier een werkende methode voor bouwt, levert geen losse analyse op maar gereedschap dat forensische en defensie-instellingen daarna zelf kunnen inzetten — en dat via open publicaties ook buiten dit project bruikbaar is.
